As the main hero of the legendary “sea” movie by Luc Besson keeps diving, and never gets to run out of breath, on Big blue tour you ride and ride and the road seems to be neverending. Over 2000 km! The tour runs from Zagreb and across three of the most charming Croatian main roads, Lika, Adriatic and Rijeka, connecting almost half of Croatia. It takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of Lika, Dalmatinska Zagora (the hinterland), Dalmatia, Primorje, Istria and Gorski Kotar.

But, as the title itself implies, this tour highlights the blue color of the Adriatic. Over 1300 km of the most beautiful Croatian (we dare say maybe even European) roads lead you to the most beautiful sea in the world, from its southernmost part (Cavtat, Dubrovnik) through Pelješac, Korčula, Hvar, Split, Šibenik, Murter, Biograd, Pašman, Ugljan, Zadar, Senj, Rijeka and Pula to its northernmost town of Umag. You will visit the most beautiful Adriatic towns, pass the Adriatic islands, see the most beautiful sunsets and enjoy most beautiful sunsets (we did not make it up, you ask Alfred Hitchcock if you meet him in Zadar).

If you haven’t realized it yet, then it’s time for you to understand what’s attracting tourists all over the world, who are coming back, time and again. In a single tour you will combine so many different natural beauties, landscapes, views, climate, scents, tastes filled with a realy rich history that there is a danger that you might eventually feel even overwhelmed! And you probably will not be sure which part of you was the most beautiful. We still cannot decide.

Of course, the tour does not lead you to all the hidden corners of Lika, Dalmatia or Istria, bays or islets. But, that is the point of this self-guided route. You are your guide, you decide where to turn, what you will discover or where you will simply want to stop and enjoy.
